EDT 8210 - Applied Psychology Theory for Digital Learning
This course introduced us to field of multimedia learning, or how individuals learn from the use of words and pictures. The main focus in particular was how we can use theories of multimedia learning to aid in our own instructional design to facilitate digital learning in our own courses. I have developed a workshop to help you understand the theory of cognitive load and the cognitive theory of multimedia learning. Further, I discuss several principles that are shaped from these theories that can influence our instructional design. I hope you find this workshop useful for your instructional design.
